300 years ago, Dutch farmers began arriving in the Millstone Valley to build an agriculture economy that our central New Jersey home the breadbasket of New York City. Today the farm-to-table renaissance has rejuvenated farming and inspired a vibrant restaurant scene. Learn the story behind local landmarks and farm families in the world premiere of this 35-minute film. This film is made possible, in part, by the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State through the State/County History Partnership Program Grant, and administered in Somerset County by the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission.

Followed by a panel discussion with Jon McConaughy, owner, Double Brook Farm, Brick Farm Market, Brick Farm Tavern in Hopewell; Raoul Momo, co-owner of the restaurants Eno Terra in Kingston and Mediterra in Princeton; Lauren Nagy, manager of Cherry Valley Cooperative farm in Montgomery; and Ryck Suydam, President of the NJ Farm Bureau and owner of Suydam Farm in Franklin.

Followed by a panel discussion among present-day farmers and restaurateurs.
